Removed some problematic elements[edit]

I removed a bit of peacock language that described the subject in overly promotional terms. I also removed some off-topic digressions that verged on coatracking. In one of these off-topic digressions, his wife's career was described through the IMDb (which is not a reliable source) and a database entry at The New York Times' film database. I removed both sources. The IMDb citation should be obvious. The NYT is a legit credit for Ms. Borker, but it does not and can not draw any connection between her and Jacques. That Borker could be an entirely different person, as is often the case for actors who have a common name. We would need to have a source directly connect Jacques Borker with the actress, not a barebones database entry that lists the credits of a film. Further, this is not a biography of his wife or brother, and I don't see why this article should spend half its text on them. In a longer article, such might be considered due emphasis, but not with such a short article. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 17:10, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@NinjaRobotPirate: I would go further. Why, for example, is the effusive praise in the first sentence sourced to a site selling his work? --NeilN talk to me 21:36, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you're right. I must have missed that. I was apparently paying more attention to the article's body. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 21:39, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I started editing the lead, but I gave up in frustration. I'd like find better sources. I did a few Google searches, and I'm not really seeing too much. I'll try again later, but I think a Francophone might have better luck. My French was never very good, and now it's rusty from disuse, too.
