This page requires overhaul as much of information is old and factually incorrect. Some vital information is lacking. JPMEENA (talk) 06:01, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Need More Information[edit]

This page is lacking in a lot of substantial information. Here is a list of what I think should be changed on this page to make it more informative and expansive:

  • Add to the Demographics section - income and wealth levels, education levels, occupational status of the majority, birth rate, death rate, marital status of the majority, average age of marriage, average family size.
  • Remove Climate from the Culture section and make Weather and Climate its own section.
  • Culture should include holidays and religions.
  • Economy can be included as a section.
  • History can be included. How did Jaipur District from? etc.
  • The introduction doesn't contain any broad statistics such as the population size and region size.
  • The Divisions section is difficult to understand- are there 13 divisions in the governmental body of the state of Rajasthan?
  • The Demographics section repeats the same statistic as the Introduction.

Here is a list of sources I can use to add to this article:

  1. Study of variability of rainfall and sustainability of farming in sub-humid region: a case study of Jaipur District, Rajasthan, India by Arjun Lal Meena and Priyanka Bisht- scholarly peer reviewed paper. This source is very relevant to the Jaipur District section as it discusses the variability of rain in the region. This impacts both farming and day to day lifestyle. Climate is an important section to have on a city page and since monsoon season occurs every year in Jaipur, this source is highly pertinent. [1]eri
  2. An Investigation of Fluoride Concentration in Drinking Water of Sanganer Tehsil, Jaipur District, Rajasthan, India and Defluoridation from Plant Material by Mohammed Arif, Bhagwan Sahay Yadav and Abha Garg- scholarly peer reviewed paper. This is an interesting source for this article because it has to do with water quality and safety. This is another important aspect when considering location and area. Thus, this article pertains well to my PE in Jaipur District and is important to have on this page. [2]
  3. The Pattern of Urban-Rural Relationship: A Case Study in Jaipur District by Iqbal Narain P. C. Mathur P. S. Varma, reviewed by Owen M. Lynch. This book is very pertinent to this article because it discusses Jaipur city growth compared to rural. It talks about the advantages of one type of government over the other and about problems that may arise due to growth of the city. This would be great information to have on this page as it would add to the history of Jaipur District and comment on its potential future growth as well. [3]

Let me know what you think! Anikakalra (talk) 06:17, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
