AA Program?[edit]

  • In all of the Dave Robicheaux series, Burke mentions and refers to the Alcoholic's Anonymous 12-step program. There is never any mention in the author information if Burke is a member of the group or is a recovering alcoholic. His knowledge of the program would lead one to beleive he or some member of his family may be.

Maybe he read about Alcoholics Anonymous at Wikipedia? :) KMS (talk) 20:53, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, one of the external links mentions this. KMS (talk) 20:56, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did Burke Have Any Military Service?[edit]

In making Dave Robicheaux a Vietnam veteran, Burke took a risk because Burke isn't a Viet vet and thus he gets a lot of things wrong. Does Burke have any military service? Just to the reader, it seems unlikely that he does. By the way, Burke's descriptions of weather and scenery are wonderful and he has a real gift. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.44.147.74 (talk) 18:57, 10 April 2010 (UTC) How is Robicheaux pronounced? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.174.45.178 (talk) 03:10, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
