I'll take this one on. From a cursory initial reading it looks pretty good, and I don't think much will be required to get it up to GA standard. Reyk YO! 11:21, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Hawkeye7:! Well done on this well-written article. It pretty much meets all the criteria. I have a couple of minor comments listed below, and it would be better if there were at least one more image, but aside from that it's ready to be promoted to GA.

Manhattan Project[edit]

  • Why was it unusual for Rainwater to go to Columbia?
    checkY Added some explanation. Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:47, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • The article would benefit from more material on Rainwater's personal life, but perhaps not in a section titled "Manhattan project"

Later Life[edit]

  • What did Rainwater die of?
No idea, I'm afraid. I have noted his poor health in later life. Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:47, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Heart attack, apparently. Found that buried far down in one of the sources. Reyk YO! 07:19, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

  • He's listed as a member of the Optical Society, but this is not mentioned in the article
