I think this belongs to the History of Nashville, Tennessee article. We cannot have an article about every city founder in the world which just states the he/she founded the aforesaid city, plus some trivia. I dunno how to post that cute "proposed to be merged" template... Anybody does it for me, please? --euyyn 16:01, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would advised against merging, because James Robertson's story is tied with much more than just the city of Nashville. He was involved in the State of Franklin, Watauga and the War of the Regulation. I would propose expansion of this article instead, and will ask for such. Iamvered 23:35, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I really don't know if I'm doing this right, I want to help with expanding the article about General James Robertson. I have done extensive research about him(He's my 5th great grandfather) but I'm completely tech challenged.Could someone from the wiki community help me out here? I'm a big fan of Wiki and would love to help y'all out.I'll come back to this talk page in a coupla days to see if anybody is out there reading this.-Matty

* Matty, if you will post your info to the bottom of this page, I will edit/format/wikify it for you. Just click this link: [1] ... then scroll down and paste. Iamvered 18:36, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-->Matty, I am also related to James Robertson. My Grandfather haz some very interesting documents you may want to see. If you are interested let me know herem and I will make plans to contact you. PJR

Please excuse me if I'm posting this in the wrong place but I've tried to edit the James Robertson page and my edits were rejected. There is a new biography of him on Amazon, B&N, and Google books source here: [1] that sheds new light and information on his many contributions. The new biography was written by a relative. Any help is appreciated. Rolandrthompson (talk) 20:05, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
