Nationality / transliteration[edit]

If Ivan Śleszyński was a "Ukrainian mathematician", why is his name in Polish? Was he of Polish descent? Or is this a Polish transliteration of Śleszyński's Ukrainian name? —Mark Dominus (talk) 19:52, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

MacTutor says he was born in Ukraine, of an ethnically Polish family. I will try to find out the Ukrainian spelling of his name for addition here. —Mark Dominus (talk) 19:53, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
