Removed some doubtful content[edit]

I removed the following paragraph from the article:

Large-scale immigration of Japanese people to France began after World War II, in the 1950s, when Japanese began immigrating to France to find opportunities after Japan was crushed in the war.[citation needed]

The idea of Japanese as economic migrants in France fleeing their prior lives in Japan seems doubtful, and is largely contradicted by Yatabe's description of the community as having consisted ever since the 1870s of professionals and educated people who come to France to partake in the intellectual and cultural life there for a few years before returning to Japan.

The rest of the unsourced content seems reasonable, but it needs sources. In particular, the use of the immigrant terms "issei" and "nissei" seems a bit odd; Japanese people outside of the Americas do not parse their identities in these terms, especially not Japanese expatriates who are oriented towards going back to Japan within a few years, as so much of the Japanese community in France are. cab (talk) 14:04, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
