Soran Bushi and Bon Odori[edit]

There was a small snipet that talked about the modern Soran Bushi dance that I thought was out of place, and I removed it. Though I'm sure that the modern Soran Bushi Dance, also known as "Rockin' Soran Bushi" is an important part of Japanese culture, I'm not sure it belongs in a wiki article called "Japanese Traditional Dance." It belongs in another article called "Japanese Modern Dance," as Rockin' Soran Bushi is much newer than the original Soran Bushi.

Which leads to my next question; does Bon Odori really belong here? It is most definitely a kind of traditional dance, but it is a separate genre from Nihon Buyo. Bon Odori is part of the Obon festival, and the Bon Dance is already described there. Bon Odori should be mentioned only briefly as part of a bigger description of Japanese dance IMO. Content and style[edit]

The content needs to be rewritten in a more encyclopedic style and reorganized. Additionally, it sounds as though it's been copy and pasted from a book somewhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.218.226 (talk) 03:31, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

JAPANESE DANCEING[edit]

I thought the paragraph in this heading is completely in appropriate and I removed it. People interested in what was said can look in the history if they really want to see what was written. At any rate, WikiPedia hall monitors should be watching the IP address from whence this profanity came and block it if necessary. KogeJoe (talk) 01:30, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
