Notability[edit]

He definitely meets the Wikipedia guidelines for notability - I'd wager everyone alive in the 90s (in Britain at least) has heard Spaceman at the very least. rob 20:18, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm fairly certain it meets the criterion "Has had a charted hit on any national music chart, in at least one large or medium-sized country." from Wikipedia music notability guidelines, since Spaceman was #1 in the UK. -217.43.74.17 13:52, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also agreed. Spaceman was a huge hit. I would say that this article needs to be cleaned up a little bit, though. There's definitely POV here and nothing is mentioned of him making an arse of himself on Brasseye. Phileas 05:36, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of Reliable Sources[edit]

Some of the unsourced information on this page has been added by an editor with a possible conflict of interest. There are some key facts which require sourcing, in particular those which involve other living individuals (Stephen Dorff for example). I just did a quick Google search and found very little to no information of any Dorff/Jas Mann collaboration, other than some fan maintained message boards. These are not reliable sources.

Some info that needs sources:

~~"Mann left the band in 1992 because of creative differences."~~
"In late 1999, he moved to Chandigarh, India and spent time in ashrams working as an aid worker helping build shelters for deprived areas." - this seems like self promotion
"Mann also wrote the theme music for Channel 4's Speedway Grand Prix programme, screened on Saturday mornings throughout the speedway season (2000/01)."
"Mann co-owned a record company, Hub Records, and released three songs under the name of Mariachi Static in 2003. In 2005, he announced he would be issuing a new Babylon Zoo album, Cold Clockwork Doll," - most information I could find on this, used this article for information or copied the content directly - including the "where are they now" reference from Comedy Central. This is not good (and CC isn't really a realible source for music information either, but that's another issue).
"Mann then moved to Myddle, Shropshire and claimed he would never want to live anywhere else "regardless of how rich or successful I may become and despite extensive world-wide travel to promote my music". However, in 2006, Mann moved to the Mojave Desert saying the solitude "enhances creativity and calms my whirling mind"." - A quote from Mann should be sourced - where are these quotes from?
"In 2002, he moved to Los Angeles, where he has been writing film scripts and working with the likes of Stephen Dorff." - No info anywhere that he moved to LA (in 2002 specifically) and worked with Dorff.

No, one was just moved on their website - an easy find for those so inclined to search for it (I figured you weren't since you're new and still learning to sign your posts, so I did it for you), while the other is a newspaper article - a web link isn't required though I've found another web link for it. Does Chris mean 'Normal' People?[edit]

I am wondering whether "Chris Morris' assertion that he might have more genes than normal people" is equivalent to what Chris Morris actually says, 'maybe just maybe you were born with a few more genes than the rest of us', to which Jas says 'ahum maybe'.
