This article on Java optimized processors (or hardware implementations of the Java Virtual Machine in general) should be more prominently mentionned in the article on Java Virtual Machines. Can someone add a paragraph or link there?

Open-source[edit]

According to the project's home page, JOP isn't free for commercial use. So, it's not fair to call it Open source.--Ring0 08:07, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is the source open to the public? Software can be open source without being free.` — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 08:14, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
According to the Open Source Definition by OSI [1], "open source" is just another term for "free software" (this definition conforms well to the one of "free software"). I suggest that this should be clarified in the article (e.g., mention that the source is available, but the software isn't free for commercial users).--Ring0 06:24, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And OSI is the authority to define the meaning of "open source"? Schoeberl 23:58, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
