Move to Jawi people[edit]

I am in the process of getting this moved to Jawi people (current a redirect to Jawi language, because Jawi is the more common spelling, but Jawi is a DAB page. Either need to change DAB page to "Jawi (disambiguation)" and call this page "Jawi", or create Jawi people (which I think makes more sense, although unfortunately there is not consistency with all of the Aboriginal peoples and languages being named in this way). I have just discovered that the page was moved to Djaui, with no explanation, but have in the meantime created Jawi people to redirect to Djaui. Unless anyone objects though, I am going to swap these two around in the coming few days. Jawi is the common spelling and the one used for the language here, so it makes sense to stick to this spelling in Wikipedia, surely? Nishidani, what do you think? multiple designations of indigenous groupings name is the name of the game - nish tended to have lists against the tindale lists of variants - my personal contact re the orthographies what might acceptable is offline for extended time... stick with jawi and have djaui as a redirect - no one will come and bother you about it... at least that has been the general response, deathly silence, for most indigenous material... Thanks, JarrahTree - I've just done what seems most sensible to me, and someone has now actioned my requests. It just doesn't make sense to have the language spelt differently from the people articles. We now have a few instances where "people" is part of the article name where there are DAB pages for that word, so at least consistent in that way too...
