Served at Siege of Gibraltar[edit]

It is dubious whether Championnet served at Gibraltar. Ramsay W. Phipps specifically said Championnet never served in the Walloon Guards (a Spanish army unit). Also, Victor Dupuis wrote that his first military service was in the Valence National Guard in 1789. Djmaschek (talk) 05:04, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be a direct copy of Britannica[edit]

I am fairly new to wikipedia, so excuse me if I am mistaken sometimes.

This wikipedia article seems to be directly copied from the Britannica Encyclopedia.
