Copyvio[edit]

This page needs to be wikified and turned into a true encyclopedic article instead of a copy and paste from a website. Merhawie 13:06, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That copy-and-paste is most probably a copyright violation, thus I have reverted it even though google did not find the source yet. If it isn't - that text is still in the editing history of the article, and thus can be worked into the current version from there. andy 16:50, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for beating me to it. ;) Yom 18:04, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Islam[edit]

Are all Jeberti Sunni?

Yes, they are all Sunni Muslims. By the way, I just made the new changes to the page, to make it look a bit more professional. I wanted to make some major changes but then decided to keep them to a minimum (didn't save those changes) and add the other information at a later date. There's a lot more info in Arabic and Tigrinya that I need to translate before I can add the stub. Quick question, how will I reference those texts (i.e. ISBN and otherwise?). BTW there might be some "facts" that need to be verified24.114.255.83 03:54, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Best way to do so would be to use the templates. These can be done by WP:CITE and click on templates. and then just use the references tag. You should also join the [WP:ERI|Eritrea WikiProject]] and add your name. Merhawie 19:41, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Someone (or group) keep vandalizing this page. That's why I placed the protection on the page.

That is fine, just make sure you sign in and/or sign your posts so we know... --Merhawie 03:15, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possibility of Adding the Meaning of Jabarti[edit]

Is it possible to add to this page that Jabara means to force (as in subdue or dominate) in the Argobba language? In one of the Ethiopian chronicles, they mention how the Christians took over Gabar-Ge and Wej, which are in the interior of the Horn of Africa. We cannot do WP:original research based on our own interpretation of existing data. You need a reliable source that explicitly provides an etymology of the name "Jeberti". –Austronesier (talk) 21:01, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok sounds fair. Let me know if you find the etymology of the word Jabarti. GetRektLLLLL (talk) 21:09, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
