Unknown Rebel / Tank Man[edit]

If the article on the photographed man is named "Tank Man" shouldn't this page link refer to him as this instead? 210.49.64.195 10:03, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Toilet[edit]

I watched an interview with this man where he said after he took the photograph he put the film back into the canister because he saw the security coming to his hotel. When the Chinese broke into his room they took all of his film from the night before and were satisfied. Only later did he go back into the hotel room and get the film canister out of the toilet tank. "Luckily no one flushed the toilet," he said. This is worth mentioning in this article, no? 121.94.38.75 05:31, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Video footage[edit]

Isn't there video footage of this? I'm sure I saw it on TV when it happened. This article only mentions a single still photo. Badagnani 07:02, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Possible confusion with Charlie Cole[edit]

Some editors have recently "updated" this biography's verb tenses to past tense to match Wikipedia's conventions for dead people (e.g. "was a photographer" instead of "is a photographer"; "had received awards" instead of "has received awards"; etc.), but I have been looking for sources to see when or if the subject has died but nothing has shown up. It seems that these editors are being confused with the photographer Charlie Cole, another photographer of Tank Man, who has died recently. Until reliable sources could be provided that the subject of this article has indeed died, I am restoring the article to the version before the changes, as this would be an awkward BLP violation.
