Untitled[edit]

I saw this film maker being interviewed on CNN today and I sought more info at her Wikipedia page. I thought it was interesting that the article has been up for seven years and remains a stub. I wondered how old she was and found a birth date of 5/17/74 from multiple sources. They may have simply copied each other and are not considered RS, the main one being IMDB. That d.o.b. fits with her schooling timeline. I also found two different birthplaces listed, both Washington, D.C. and Cairo, though both cited the same birthdate. Her most recent work, "The Square," about the uprising focused in Tahrir Square, documented the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak in 2011, but as it was being completed and scheduled to be shown at Sundance Film Festival, the elected president Mohamed Morsi was toppled after a year in office in July 2013 and the Egyptian military re-assumed power. This caused Noujaim to redo the documentary. She was arrested during the Tahrir Square demonstrations. I hope someone will give this page the attention it deserves as she is a person of some substantial cultural and historical consequence. Activist (talk) 21:36, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review[edit]

Your information is well organized and fairly detailed, especially when talking about the films she has made and her accomplishments. However, you could make a few improvements in order to make the page more visually appealing and easier to read. It might help to remove the links to pages that don't exist in order to make the text easier to read. You could also expand on the awards Noujaim has received, like the Gardiner Fellowship and the TED Prize, as some people might not automatically know what these things are. You should also add a filmography section (either a list or a table) that lists all of her films in chronological order. The Pangea Day section could also either be expanded upon or combined with another section, as the information presented doesn't feel complete enough to warrant its own section. Peer Review[edit]

Good job, I would have liked to see the filmography neatly displayed in a table for ease of access. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MovieMania1994 (talkcontribs) 20:26, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Consultant[edit]

I saw the amazing documentary The Great Hack last week. I then saw a claim that you consulted with someone who was a Moony in the 60s and never graduated from HS. She also has no degree and is breaking the law by representing herself as an expert. We are all seeking the truth and you need to consult with experts not fakes. Peer Review[edit]

This Wikipedia page has a lot of strengths and a strong Career section. Well done for adding a picture of the filmmaker and putting a little bit of information under to help the readers. Separating the Career section into three main parts is very helpful visually and helps the readers to understand the section more quickly. The bibliography includes a remarkable amount of references which is a great plus!

In the Filmography table, it would be interesting to have more information about the films. For example: awards won, nominations, the director's role in the filmmaking, etc. Some fact are also not referenced so maybe make sure that there is no plagiarism. Peer Review[edit]

The career section of the page is strong and detailed. There is good information regarding the background of the films the director created as well. The way the career section was divided into years was very helpful, as it provided a good understand of how the directors career has evolved over the years. Good job on being able to find a photo as well.

Try to add a section that is solely for awards and nominations, that way it is more clear to the readers to understand what she was nominated for, and what she won. It would also be good if there was a little more background on her education and personal life if that was available. Triple check to make sure that the page is as impartial as possible. 142.127.228.220 (talk) 03:51, 5 November 2019 (UTC) Hydra Flask[reply]
