Notability[edit]

{{help me}} Could an editor help with this. I posted a Notability Tag because many athletes, professional and amateur, use Wikipedia as a kind of personal website to promote themselves, which is inappropriate I think. I don't find anything encyclopedic for her listing. It reads like a personal website. Everestrecords (talk) 07:49, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can add {{PROD}} to the top of the article and see if anybody objects to the page being deleted. If nobody does, it'll be deleted after a week. Hope this helps, or if you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. Nick (talk) 10:12, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am surprised that a user could find 'nothing encyclopedic': a Google search should reveal that she has attracted sufficient publicity to meet the notability guidelines. And while I agree that some sportspeople 'use Wikipedia as a kind of personal website', I don't think that she is among them: there have been very few edits to this page, and there is no indication that she is responsible for any of them.
