Birth[edit]

According to USGA (http://www.usga.org/ChampEventBio.aspx?id=2147487766) Jessica was born in Prague. Only recently she made a decision to represent USA - before she was representing the Czech Republic (http://www.abcprague.com/2008/09/04/jessica-korda-decided-to-represent-the-usa, http://www.usgirlsjunior.org/news/KordaFeature.html, http://www.usga.org/news/2010/August/USA-Women-s-World-Amateur-Team-Named/). One of those articles you cite[1], says Korda was born in Sarasota Florida. Since it is also from the USGA, like another article that says Korda was born in Prague(I live in Florida but have never been to Sarasota or Bradenton but I visited Prague in 2000!). This article[2] on her father, says she was born here(Florida). So its rather confusing right now. How do we resolve this?
It's pretty simple. Find an article where Jessica Korda is quoted saying where she was born or The LPGA will update the Solheim Cup points list this week. If Korda was born in Prague, she isn't eligible for the team. Naturalized American golfers Candie Kung and Angela Park are or weren't eligible and the same would apply to Korda then.
BTW, Naturalized citizens can play on the Curtis or Junior Solheim Cup teams. Pearl Sinn played on a Curtis Cup team.- William 01:44, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update Based on this[3], I'd have to conclude Korda was born in the United States. She is Solheim Cup team eligible.- William 13:18, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

She was born in Bradenton, FL. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.13.57.116 (talk) 02:14, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
