Any claims regarding Wong becoming a Chinese citizen and renouncing her Canadian citizenship – dual Chinese citizenship is not possible – will need a highly credible source. It is possible that the North Americans on the Chinese national team roster have obtained passports from Taiwan or Hong Kong(1), however I haven’t found any publications that touch the topic of citizenship since the final roster was announced.
