lyrics to "2-0-5"

I noticed that somebody added the lyrics to "2-0-5" into this article. If others started adding the lyrics to JibJab animations onto this article, wouldn't that take the focus away from JibJab themselves? If this seems to be the case, would it be better to write a seperate article for the lyrics?

Aside from that, the lyrics are also copyrighted by JibJab, and unlike the original songs that they parody, JibJab does own the copyright to the lyrics posted. This is probably a copyright violation and the text should probably be deleted. 青い(Aoi) 08:39, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

JibJab and Budweiser

"Their new project is an advertisement campaign for Budweiser. More information on this partnership can be found by going to their site."

On which site (Budweiser's or JibJab's)? I didn't see any information on this after a quick perusal of both sites. So a direct link to the information should be provided, if possible. At the very least, a citation of where this information can be verified. Plus this section really needs to be expanded. At the very least, the nature of the advertisement campaign, as well as to types of commercials, should be noted. Stating that something exists and that you have to go elsewhere to learn anything about it seems pretty weak for an encyclopedia article.

Lyrics

New lyrics, this time for Second Term. I'm deleting them, but if anyone thinks they should stay, it ain't a dictatorship. Or is it... --MasTer of Puppets 14:52, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

Someone apparently put them back in... Personally, I too think they are not needed. I have taken them out (again). Timebender13 23:39, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

In 2007

Hi, I added some information on In 2007, the Jibjab year in review. I haven't seen the entire movie yet, so if there's anything I missed or was wrong about, go ahead and change it.Leprechaun Gamer (talk) 02:18, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Okay, this is weird, but In 2007 seems to be pulling a disappearing act on me. As in, sometimes, it's there, but sometimes, it's not, and the page's history doesn't reflect this. Anyone know what's going on?Leprechaun Gamer (talk) 03:29, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

NPOV Dispute

This article reads like corporate boilerplate and is not encyclopedic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.237.11.212 (talk) 23:47, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Starring You

Should their feature "Starring You" be added to the list of JibJab's features? --168.103.135.44 02:45, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Definately! Starring you has been advertised on the last two political cartoons at the end, and all over their website. 64.142.43.180 (talk) 16:28, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Unencyclopedic

Is it just me, or does the paragraph "The early years" seem like something more fit for a website other than an encyclopedia? My case in point include the words "dancing doodie" and little jokes added throughout the paragraph. I am far too lazy to fix it myself so if somebody else could, I would greatly appreciate it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wildwill2002 (talkcontribs) 05:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I completely agree. "The ancient years?" The whole history of the company sounds like one it wrote itself. Unfortunately, I too am faaarrr too lazy to actually fix it. Somebody else seize the reigns, would you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.177.93.71 (talk) 15:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

I also didn't like the tone of the relevant section. I'll hopefully get around to rewriting it a more appropriate tone—one that doesn't sound like it was copied directly from there website. This of course assumes that I'm not lazy (which appears to be the theme here); therefore, if anyone wants to fix it himself or herself, feel free. Otherwise, I'll fix this when I have the time. —Fiziker t 02:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

The first paragraph is a total joke. I'll delete it... also the rest of the section needs work too. It's copied right from the JibJab website, so I'm not sure how reliable it is. Intothewoods29 (talk) 17:01, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Stuff To Do

Hey, I cleaned up some of the POV stuff, especially in the first section (but I forgot to write an edit summary, so that's why I'm doing it here sorry). The problem is that the first section was entirely copied from the JibJab website, making it totally unreliable. We need more background info on the two guys, for starters. Also, I'm not sure about the bias-ness of:

the 35 employees they employ, and how many there were at the beginning
Evan's award-winning films
the garage startup in brooklyn
the high quality eCards at the beginning
& the plot summary of Big Box mart

Feel free to add to this list o' shame (and to the article). 64.142.43.180 (talk) 18:45, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Greek Heritage

I don't know if it is of any importance, but they are definitely Greek-Americans. Also judging from their name ending in "-ellis", I'd say they're ancestors were from the island of Lesvos. 79.103.187.182 (talk) 19:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm not saying they are not Greek Americans, but I removed it because it is of absolutely no importance to the subject of the article. Unless they are going out and campaigning for greek americans or are the writers of My Big Fat Greek Wedding it really isn't information that is all that... relevant. Now if they were greek citizens, then I could see it being there. Maybe put them in a "Greek Americans" category, but having it in the first line of the article is somewhat... irrelevant. --Nick Catalano  contrib talk 01:49, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I agree. Even though I wish I knew that much about Greek Heritage Intothewoods29 (talk) 16:16, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

ElfYourself

I tried to clean it up a bit, the spelling was pretty bad before. However, it still needs a lot of cleaning, I don't have the info myself. Arienh4(Talk) 15:33, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

jokebox shut down?

I'm pretty sure jokebox is gone now- shouldn't the article say something about this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.210.142.239 (talk) 19:52, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

2008 Year In Review

I added a short blurb about it but it would be nice if we could get more info and some citations. I have to head out now, so I couldn't look for more. Smartyllama (talk) 22:45, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Both Songs Are Removed!

It seems that both "2008 Year in Review" and "He's Barack Obama" are removed! Why is that? Both songs are sung to the tunes of folk songs: "2008 Year in Review" to the tune of "Miss Susie" and "He's Barack Obama" to the tune of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home". Yet both songs are removed. Why?--Angeldeb82 (talk) 01:18, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

list removal

entire list was marked since 2014, entire article marked for citations since 2018. tags were already there, adding more would be pointless Softlemonades (talk) 19:55, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
