Online books[edit]

Should we be listing online books which have not been considered interesting enough to publish by a publisher ? Johncmullen1960 16:49, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know that had been done, but if that's the case I don't think they should be in the "Books" section. I suggest putting them under another heading instead. Gatoclass 02:25, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've just added ISBNs etc to the list of books, using this search of Amazon.com.

Note #1: the list in our article is not complete.

Note #2: Amazon.com says a few were published by "Mradult". (WTF?) I just omitted the publisher name in those cases.

I found only one book without a print edition: Medieval Life & The Hundred Years War, which is on a website for an online game (http://www.hyw.com) in which players "take on the persona of a noble in the 14th century". Note that this book is "by Albert A. Nofi and James F. Dunnigan, with the help of the College of Heralds and several players of the Hundred Years War"[1] — so I guess its at least partially an online collaborative effort, like Wikipedia. (I also found some very positive comments about this ebook, to my utter lack of suprise.)

So I suggest leaving Medieval Life & The Hundred Years War in the list of books, instead of starting a new section with one item. Cheers, CWC 10:33, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RPG designer[edit]

I know of no evidence that Dunnigan is a designer of role-playing games. I would love to proved incorrect, however. Until that time I have removed the category Category:Role-playing game designers from the main article and the {{RPGproject}} template from the talk page. --Craw-daddy | T | 14:01, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. :) Simple answer is, he was listed on the List of role-playing game designers. I went and added the cat and template to everyone on that list, as well as a number of others who were not yet on that list. Amazing how few RPG designers had only one or the other of those, or neither!
