34 Years in the House[edit]

Banking Committee in the House[edit]

Didn't Jim Wright also serve on the Banking Committee, if not chairing it, during the deregulation phase of the S&L banking rules? Stevenmitchell 09:55, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kathleen Day, in Chapter 29 of S&L Hell, discusses Jim Wright's actions in Congress in 1986 on behalf of a real estate developer. Wright was majority leader and later speaker of the house.
