Youth and senior career overlap[edit]

I realise this is unorthodox, but it appears to be the case in Australian soccer leagues that a player will be classified as both a youth and a senior player contemporaneously. The academy side players will often be loaned to senior sides (as Oates was to Manly United), but this doesn't mean that Central Coast Mariners Academy aren't, for all intents and purposes, a youth team. Proposed deletion[edit]

I would propose postponing any proposed deletion. Oates has been signed as a senior first team pro, and has appeared in all of Exeter's pre-season fixtures so far. With the injury of the only other RB at the club, it is very likely that Oates will make his debut within the next 10 days. Rather than have the bizarre situation of having an article, taking it down, and reinstating a week later – I propose we wait at least 10 days before passing judgement.
