Source: "Jimmy and Sally was written for Jimmy Dunn and Sally Eilers, but Miss Eilers, who was recently married, won't appear in the picture after all. Claire Trevor ... has been rewarded with the role destined for Sally. This seems to break up the popular team of Dunn and Eilers, temporarily at least."
