Surely she wasn't born in 1953? I would have thought she was much younger than that! Especially if she was in high school in the 70s, as is implied by her "working on the story for twenty years" bit. Ben Standeven 18:17, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If she was born in 1953, that would put her high school graduation at about 1971 or 1972, depending on her specific birthdate. So that's the "70's" for her high school years (if she meant the early 70's, it fits for her last years in high school; she would have started high school in the late 60's); if she was working on it in high school and college that seems like a realistic timeline. 1953 certainly seems plausible. 71.229.178.108 (talk) 03:59, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have just discoverd the dragonlord series and i am now a fan.i have just finished the first two books in just a few days i could hardly put them down.i was pleased when i thought there was more to the story but when i went to look for this third book and found out it's beeen close to 7 years in the making and the first two were realeased fairly close together and the author has no web site directly so whats going on with this third book has she given up and abandoned her fans or is ther some personal reason why it is taking so long any idea's i will be looking out for any news on this mystierious third book

                                                                           awsamasaus76.198.76.253 02:20, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This probably isn't the place for this discussion, but last we heard of her she was making a harp in preparation for writing the third novel. As it says in the entry she had a child 3 years ago which is probably a really good reason to get side-tracked. Her site went down somewhere around late November last year. A bit worrying isn't it? Though I'm not sure if she's still using it, try e-mailing her at dragonlord@weredragon.com with encouragement/praise/etc. I plan to do the same once I've finished rereading the 2 books.

I'd guess the delay is a combination of writer's block and/or being sidetracked by other events in her life, including the birth of her son. Tor has claimed she has resumed writing Bard's Oath, and expects it to be published late 2010 or early 2011. So we can only wait and hope now I guess. 71.229.178.108 (talk) 03:55, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
