Current status of the page[edit]

At the moment I see a few things wrong with this page, for which I've added a cleanup tag.

1. The "Rivalry with other celebrities" section is almost incoherent. It collects a bunch of insults, stories about people whose first names only are used, and mentions the page three story for no reason.

2. The "Relationships and sex life" section is a libel suit waiting to happen.

3. The "Other controversy" section is poorly-edited, and the promotional appearance in Leicester Square for the MTV series doesn't make any sense without reference to this series.

4. We still have a trivia section.

If nobody minds, I'm going to do some radical surgery on this page. Zimbardo Cookie Experiment 15:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1 2 and 3 are sourced, do bear this in mind. I don't think 2 and 3 can be rewritten but should'nt be removed as these are sourced from her blogs which are edited by obviously you know who - the one who this article is about. Plus this lots of GCSEs and A-Levels and anything she can boasts about should be left out as Marsh is known for making numerous unsubstantiated claims. Knock-Off Nigel 18:44, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Future of this page[edit]

Right now this is a stew of accusations, complaints and vandalism. Most comments are not signed. Nothing is indented. Many of the existing comments have been edited by vandals.

Would others (excluding our AOL troll) be amenable to wiping the slate clean? I don't see that we get any value out of what's here at present. Brainslug 17:35, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does excudling the AOL troll mean? is that a bullying tactic? tsk tsk shame on you. There are several views that have been about telling the true side of marsh and all have been shot down by the slug/cully crew. exclusion is a form of bullying and no amount of rosying a pet subject up hides that truth. oh dear, you will be telling me BB is actually intellectual and eurovision is a solid base for musical talent... Do you remember jordans Mr Blobby routine? Don't tell me classic artist at work.

Well put. And true. Smacks of everything that is wring with wikipedia. In fact it is like bb small groups banding together and excluding others. why are there so many false accounts of people on this thing?

is that a bullying tactic? hit the nail on the head. typical bully response too....ie none. wikipedia is full of it. people take a subject and make it theirs to the exclusion of facts that shade the real persona of the person it's about. giving more time and space to these minor blips in the media than is given to real celebrities and historical figures.

How lovely that some people have the nerve to accuse people of lying about being bullied. If you have been bullied than you would feel for another victim who knows what its like to dread waking up, to be followed and have abuse shouted at, to have people turn agaisnt you because there to scared to stand upto others. If this happend to you or your children would you say it would be wrong of them to try and stand up and defend themselves or to voice their opinions and show that they will stand up for themselves.By not saying anything the situation gets worser any child being bullied is urged to talk about it and tell somebody. So why is Jodie Marsh being hounded for standing up for herself? Why should she just sit back and let the abuse keep being thrown at her, why shouldn't she giver her side of the story? Why just because her sense of style isn't the same as yours, do you think its okay to critisize every single thing she tries to do?Even if she gave all her money and possensions to charity that would never be enough for the likes of you people that think its okay to critisize every single thing a person does. How would you like it if Jodie Marsh started saying that you lie about your job, your family, your friends? You would argue that she wouldn't know about your personal life well you don't know everything about hers, do you not understand by now that a nice inncocent story about some one dosent sell so the newspapers and magazines make stuff up. And i read that some of you are discusted about her being a topless model, well unless you are under 16 then i am sure you will have saw a naked body of the opposite or same sex, does that make you vile does it?Do we not try to promote self esteem and confidence in people? So why are we slating people that are comftorble and happy in their bodys. Jodie dosen't pretend her life is perfect but before you start pointing fingers make sure your hands are clean. Rachel.

  • Some of the reader comments by people defending what she is trying to do with Beatbullying make valid points. Karen, 7 Jun 2006

5 out of 25...i think that speaks for itself. if you had children would you want a glorified stripper with nothing but sexual innuendo for speech talking to your kids? almost child abuse i think. 'hey kids being bullied? get naked, it worked for me...' 'oh and while you're at it slag everyone off to make some money in the papers...' real intelligent.

The more i read this the more i realise you have also been taken in by the publicity bulldozer she straddles. as is clearly pointed out she is the only source of her alledged bullying. she was doing the sleaze thing at 16...that isn't the trait of a bully more a cheap trash attempt to get off with boys. there is nothing comfortable about splashing your breasts all over the place and then saying you are in touch with kids, there is nothing remotely admirable about this anti-role model. she uses the tabloids to gain kiss and tell money and has no talent except her trashy ability to flash her breasts at any camera desperate to flash. what does that say to kids? don't bother working, spend it on your back and get your boobs out...what a great image of the future. what else has she got? rachel you really need to look at what impresses you. bullying is a fact of life and happens in school, work and life. the message you need to get out is you get it out in the open, make evry available door open in the school/workplace and go that extra yard to make sure it's spootted and stopped. not sleaze round the boys get a name as a tart and then suffer the consequences which is the real story of marsh, ask those who knew her.

  • she is the only source of her alledged bullying

That she was bullied was confirmed by her mother in an interview in Closer in January this year. Karen, 6 Jun 2006

Yep, 'cause mothers are always SO objective when it comes to their kids, aren't they? Allthecoolnamesweretaken 19:23, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You do realise she was paid for the article?

I notice that since the facts were again removed by slug and cully then subsequently locked by Wiki after a half decent edit. slug and cully have been back and re-edited it to their personal taste to give a totally false description of this person. this is why Wiki gets such a bad name. People with obsessions for individuals can portray a rosy image of someone instead of the real person. oh dear. i guess if i look at OK magazine i will note that someone has put 'a fact based editorial...'

come off it. vandal suggests something is broken or wrecked. this is discussion and you choose to blank not discuss. who's the idiot?

That would be the person who has run around Wikipedia changing James Bond's name to someone elses (yours?), arbitrarily vandalising pages all over the place, and altering Cully's text below.

Why would i change the name of James Bond? an actual icon and not a low level attention whore?

Marsh has far too much press here and most of it cited thru rose tinted glasses. The purpose of Wiki-mini-bios is to give a pen picture - rough AND smooth. Marsh has proven time and again that she is vulgar course and manipulative. This page could almost have her sainted. The obvious tag she uses is her, sole, claim to bullying noone, even her parents, back the claims up yet she was a worse bully in the BB house and on her web site. What message does it send out when a bullying group use a trashy topless 'model'(model used loosely as it takes no modeling skills at all) whose sole purpose in conversation is to intimidate thru foul language and sexual propositioning. Put some of those sexual quotes in from BB to get the real person. No you wouldn't as it goes against The Marsh according to Cully. THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH WIKI!!! Too many personal views and not enough truths.

Adsense link spamming[edit]

Please be aware the author currently residing at 83.100.157.114 is changing the www.marryjodiemarsh.com to .co.uk. The co.uk site is a frameset which has the .com content in one of the frames, and google adsense adverts in the other two panels. I've been reverting his change of two links from his .co.uk to the more official .com since yesterday afternoon. There seems to be no grounds offered for using the .co.uk link that is in the interests of wikipedia. It just seems like an attempt to gain revenue by domain squatting the .co.uk, applying Google ads and framesetting someone else's website in the main content frame. Isofarro 07:59, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quote[edit]

This quote was put in article by editor 203.211.72.71 but there is no sign of it on Google, so removed until reference cited: "I got my tits out. Now I'm famous." It's true tho.

Can you put this quote in please?[edit]

Jodie Marsh - "Eskimos are uncivilised because they don't have any shops."[citation needed] During BB here's one link. there are others. is one enough? http://www.office-humour.co.uk/item.cfm?itm=4183

Also could the Beatbullying link and association be removed as she has been totally dropped from the campaign in evry way shape and form, could it be recorded that this was due to her own bullying antics employed on her website and also due to a review of her persona in the media. A barrage of complaints from concerned parents and MP's from all sides helped also. Thanks. Tyrenius 20:34, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why do people keep taking out the facts about Jodie Marsh and making it sound as if what is there is gospel. There is no proof she was bullied and only she told this story. The shows she has appeared in were poorly viewed and the comments she comes out with are tasteless and common. She is not special she is not a true celebrity and the purpose of Wiki is to reflect the true picture of a thing not make it something shiny and cleaned up.

  • The purpose of Wiki is to be neutral, not report opinions as facts. Her celebrity status or otherwise, the merits of her TV shows and comments, etc. are subjective, not absolute. The claims that she wasn't bullied are unsourced, and in any case it's plausible that she was bullied and didn't tell anybody (I was in that exact position myself more than once) Jess Cully 15:56, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

you seem to write the rules on your pet subjects. what gives you this authority?

So the 'fact' that she says she was bullied without proof makes it unsourced also surely.

  • The article says she claims she was bullied. That is sourced, both in her book and on her web site. Jess Cully 13:53, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

also the article from the MP which showed her website as a device for bullying was removed, that was sourced but removed. still unanswered and removed as it obviously goes against your view. you have even suggested glamour model instead of topless, it is all she does why rose tint it up? this is getting beyond a joke. Chantelle also, she was a client of max clifford but dropped him after winning big brother.

for visitors the only one worth reading for actual fact is this one. (cur) (last) 23:59, 21 May 2006 195.93.21.67 the wikkicully version is, i have to assume, her version and a step out of reality. i can only guess she laps up the glossy mags and believes jordan is a great role model...

Since when has scaffolding been a middle-class occupation? And can stripping really be described as an industry?

Changes please[edit]

Could the Beatbullying link and association be removed as she has been altered to reflect the fact she has been dropped from the campaign as an ambassador , could it be recorded that this was due to her own bullying antics employed on her website and also due to a review of her persona in the media. A barrage of complaints from concerned parents and MP's from all sides helped also. Thanks. I know this has been in the press so do you need a link?

  • She hasn't been totally dropped, she's still listed on their website as a celebrity supporter. [1] - Karen, 4 Jun 2006
Did not see her on that page. I saw Heather Small from M-People, although she is less famous than Jodie Marsh. --82.134.28.194 (talk) 12:06, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

POV (not that anyone really minds)[edit]

"Most of these males have the wit, charm and social grace of a sanitary towel; its easy to see why they were attracted to Jodie." Just to name one the hilariously POV entries in this article. I'm just waiting to see how long it will be until they're deleted and replaced with something more sterile and unbiased. Until then, I'm laughing my arse off.

Kimbanyard keeps editing the page to repeat the same possibly inaccurate things. Don't know what the procedure is in cases like this. Brainslug 19:04, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Explain the inaccuracies you claim and why your points are fact. The facts are there and keep getting changed to reflect what you want her to be and not what she is...

It happened again today; once again I reverted it to my opinions. I have no particular affection for this person, and have no objection to unflattering facts being included, but the large number of nasty comments and possible lies are obviously not constructive. Brainslug 19:14, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nasty comments aside the main reverts i notice are fact based.

Nick Knowles[edit]

She is NOT dating Nick Knowles. Who keeps adding this? She is currently dating an unnamed person in another country she met on MSN according to her most recent blogs.

Moved back from "Jodi Marsh"[edit]

This page was inexplicably moved to "Jodi Marsh" (without an "e"). I have restored it to its rightful place, and left a redirect on the other spelling. Realkyhick 08:52, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rubbish on 2nd I Married Jodie Marsh series[edit]

removed the following, as it looks like rubbish:

MTV will be filming the second series 'Totally Jodie Marsh: Who Will Take Her Up The Aisle' current working name of 'i married Jodie Marsh: now I’ve got to get a divorce' to be filmed in January 08.

if a source for this can be found, please add it, and the content.

surely the title is a play on "Totally Jodie Marsh: Who will take her up the arse?" isn't it? 79.103.169.246 (talk) 17:44, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why?[edit]

Why is there an article about her? She hasn't done anything worthwhile and I believe the whole thing should be deleted Andy86 (talk) 20:22, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you genuinely feel like that, I would suggest you submit the article to the article deletion process. Be warned that she likely will be deemed notable, if only because she was the focus of an MTV series about her. Tabercil (talk) 02:54, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stealth edits[edit]

Why does this page instantly get edited the minute you update it? Are people constantly watching this page? Pathetic. Wikipedia articles are meant to be neutral. You cannot delete things that are of note because you do not like them. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Marsh herself doing it, its not like she has a job to go to any more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Motwu (talk · contribs · count) and 78.143.202.99 (talk · contribs · count) 15:39, 13 December 2007

Last name[edit]

Has her last name remained 'Marsh' or did she take her husband's name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.21.17.86 (talk) 04:17, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What husband? --82.134.28.194 (talk) 12:10, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There have been three or four since this question was first posed. Better to keep Marsh, she changes men more often than she requires a new passport.137.205.100.157 (talk) 15:28, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

KTS Clothing[edit]

Just to say, that bit is nothing but spam, therefore I am removing it, I don't think that company will ever have its own article, not with 1150 ghits and what wrong with mine edit anyway, at least it has a source. no way you can revert that because i will always add it as much as i like, block me and i will go elsewhere for it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.82.139.5 (talk) 16:18, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is a total mess[edit]

This is more like a blog of what Jodie did yesterday and what she is doing last month than an encyclopedia, which is what this article should be. I feel I can smell WP:COI there. Donnie Park (talk) 14:13, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the opposite is true as this article needs to contain mre current information most of the things here happened long ago Syxxpackid420 (talk) 16:50, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Happened long ago? Well yeah. Her behaviour is so 2007....sort of. BTW it's not nice to call anyone a paracite, specially if all you do is to judge others by your own behaviour. --82.134.28.194 (talk) 12:15, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't call anyone a parasite, actually Syxxpackid420 (talk) 19:47, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not you. Jodie Marsh referred to some MP as a paracite, when the MP spoke his mind about Jodie Marsh: She is hypocritic for joining an anti-bully campaign, while having taken part in Big Brother, and having dished out on her rivals. The MP was accused for trying to get in on the act at her expence. Now we know that a paracite should decist from calling others a paracite.

As for the anti-bullying campaign, if anyone has been in on that website, it looks like a campaign as to excuse someone else's continued bullying. One would say: Keep up the "good" work......Bullying is bad -mmmK? Especialy when someone does that job better than myself -mmmk? --82.134.28.194 (talk) 06:48, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
