Is this really relevant to an encyclopedic entry on Scalzi, and furthermore without any feasible citations? Timeshift (talk) 01:25, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit error[edit]

Apologies for this, all I meant to do was change 'Skalzi' to 'Scalzi' and somehow ended up changing further edits. I think I may have made the change when I was viewing previous diffs. Accusations of vandalism are unhelpful, especially with longer-term editors - vandalism tends to be something more in the realm of new editors. Timeshift (talk) 08:21, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't the first time this has happened with my edits. Thanks for apologizing and I will hold back on my second warning for vandalism that I was going to do. Philiashasspots (talk) 08:32, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Example please? Also, Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars. Timeshift (talk) 08:36, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
See this and this and this. Philiashasspots (talk) 08:47, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) I think he's talking about me over at the Weatherill talk page. The reason this keeps happening is because you tend to have a lot of small edits in a row. Try to use the "edit preview" button before clicking "save"; that also makes it easier for others to edit the article with previous versions, etc. And even putting length of time on Wikipedia to a side, these edits are clearly not vandalism but simple mistakes. The term vandalism is restricted to obvious, and obviously malicious, stuff, like replacing entire pages with "THIS GUY SUCKS" or other things more colourful. Thanks Frickeg. I use the "show preview" and "show changes" before saving and actually thought the opposite. I thought doing a series of small edits makes it easier to revert any specific edit if it is "controversial" or "disputed". If I do ten constructive edits on an article and then save and only then another editor disagrees with one of the edits and wants to revert it - they have more trouble reverting it. Either way more care should be taken when reverting edits of another editor. Philiashasspots (talk) 09:07, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The examples given aren't vandalism. Timeshift (talk) 09:12, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
