He does indeed seem to have been a Freemason, but at Lodge 25, the Old King's Arms Lodge, by 1768 held at the Old Cross Keys, Henrietta Street Covent Garden, apparently initiated in 1763. On its roll he is described as "Gent" (United Grand Lodge membership registers, Moderns Grand Lodge, 1755-70 Accessible on Ancestry UK).Delahays (talk) 10:30, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
