Sir Johan von Friesendorff, 1st BaronetJohan von Friesendorff, 1st Baronet — Naming as per WP:NCBRITPEER. --Labattblueboy (talk) 16:19, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Although Swedish the "1st Baronet" remains because it was a UK award from 1661, not a Swedish one. In line with the Swedish naming convention, the individuals Swedish title of Lord or Tymp is not mentioned.--Labattblueboy (talk) 06:30, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename to Johan von Friesendorff. The nominator has read the wrong guideline. Friesendorff held a baronetcy, which is a hereditary title but not a peerage; it's best to think of a baronetcy as a hereditary knighthood.
Per WP:NCNT, the form "Sir John Smith, 1st Baronet" is correct if the plain name of the person needs to be disambiguated, but otherwise the article should be at "John Smith". In this case, there appears to be no other notable people called Johan von Friesendorff, so the article should be moved there. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:51, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
