Solar parallax[edit]

Encke's figure for solar parallax, 8.57 or 8.571 arcseconds, contains a great deal of spurious accuracy. The modern figure is 8.794143 arcseconds. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.177.144.64 (talk) 10:56, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
