Untitled[edit]

The copied material is simply a list of his publications from his faculty bio webpage at his home institution (University of Chicago).

This is a far-too-detailed paean without well-formatted sections or links. Someone who cares more than I do needs to severely cut this down to size and summarize. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.76.248.183 (talk) 06:49, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Godfrey Wilson, Monica Wilson's spouse, took his own life in 1944. It is not likely that John Comaroff ever interacted with him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.89.4.21 (talk) 06:11, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sexual harassment allegations[edit]

I have re-added and updated a section on sexual harassment allegations, including the results of Harvard's internal investigation that have sanctioned Camoroff on unpaid leave. As the internal review and new lawsuit has garnered attention from multiple reliable and notable news sources (NYT, Chronicle, The Hill), I think this is worth including.

The sexual harassment section has previously been blanked multiple times (Special:Diff/1052547999, Special:Diff/1052545415) for one factually inaccurate sentence, which I think was unnecessary when that single sentence could have been corrected instead. If there are new developments or inaccuracies, I would appreciate if the individual errors are corrected rather than deleting the entire section; going by WP:BLPCRIME, the allegations and confirmed findings themselves are notable and should be retained. --LatakiaHill (talk) 23:39, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed; thanks for doing the update, LatakiaHill. Cheers, {{u|Sdkb}}talk 23:58, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RFC: American Bar Foundation title[edit]

An IP just deleted the line "He is also Research Professor at the American Bar Foundation." The ABF deleted his faculty bio page recently but no RS has reported his removal from the position. How should we handle this? GordonGlottal (talk) 23:21, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Would noting in the article that Comaroff was delisted from the ABF website be kosher? Might be original research. I think preserving the lines for now and archiving the reference sites might be the best way to keep it for now until an RS pops up. --LatakiaHill (talk) 04:24, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
