Translator of Rule of Raymond du Puy[edit]

On 26 July 2022 a new Wikipedia user named User:Thomasine_Bonaventure removed a sentence from this article saying that Eidinow had made an English translation of the Rule of Raymond du Puy. I restored the text the same day with the edit summary "take it to the talk page". User:Thomasine_Bonaventure has made no subsequent edits on Wikipedia. On 1 August 2022 an anonymous user from IP address 82.0.253.198 (in London), made a similar edit. I restored the text on 2 August. On 17 August a user named User:Verify gigantic cars (who had never edited before or since) made the same change (without any discussion on this talk page). I have now restored the text and added a more specific footnote, citing the Order of Malta Regulations and Commentary which specifically names Eidinow as the translator of the 2011 work. The 2020 and 2021 editions of the translation say that it is "by a Knight of Justice". Noel S McFerran (talk) 10:41, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
