Location[edit]

Resolved

I think this is barely within the boundaries of the City of Westminster, so I've added the category for this borough. @Ham II: Are you available to double check this for me? ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:56, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer: Yes, this is in the City of Westminster. You can see the boundary line here on OpenStreetMap – it's the broken purple line running down Cleveland Street. The memorial is still shown at its old site on OSM, but the new location is just to the south, and still within the borough – details here. Ham II (talk) 09:03, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ham II, Thanks for confirming. ---Another Believer (Talk) 12:44, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"No longer extant, on public display or in London"[edit]

In the navigation template for pubic art in London, this work is labeled as "No longer extant, on public display or in London". Is this accurate? I can't tell from the article's prose. @Ham II: Do you happen to know? ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:22, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify, I understand the sculpture was relocated to the lobby of International Students House, but does this really mean "no longer on public display". Does the average person not have access to view? ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:25, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Another Believer: Judging from the severely cropped photo in the article's first reference and a detail in the second photo of the London Remembers page for the new location, it seems that the bust is right behind the glass wall of the entrance. But this is across a car park (with a barrier) from the public street according to Google Street View (photo dated last year). Hard to call, really, but it is fairly hidden away now compared to its old location, which you can see if you turn the corner. Ham II (talk) 18:30, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
