Make Dillon Rule a Separate Page?[edit]

The Dillon Rule is a legal doctrine that describes the legal legitimacy of local government in a majority of US states. While the Rule certainly can be referenced here, this article is a biographical one, not a jurisprudential one. This argument is buttressed by how the contrasting land use doctrine - the Cooley Doctrine/Home Rule - does have its own article, despite it being applicable to only a minority of US states.

In the event that contributors decline this topic's proposal, at an absolute minimum, there should be a redirect to this article when a user searches "Dillon Rule". Currently, there is no such redirect. JAF Jafonte01 (talk) 15:51, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
