Sentence removed[edit]

Gregg was stabbed by his partner (or wife) Linda , after beating her in a drunken attack then falling asleep, he spent a lot of time in hospital intensive care and this is when he may have lost his eye .early 80's ? "During his time in prison, Gregg was the victim of several IRA attacks, one of which left him with only one eye." is at least half untrue and the other half is unsourced. According to "Crimes of Loyalty: A History of the UDA" by Ian S. Wood (page 238), Gregg lost his eye in a fight between two loyalist flute bands, see Google Books. DOB[edit]

Would anyone happen to know his exact date of birth?--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 09:55, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Various sources are unable to confirm it.It appears th only veritable way to know would be the gravestone. DColt (talk) 18:32, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if he was born in Longford Leinster in the Republic of Ireland (mother Mcconachy) the second quarter of 1957 -- in which case he would have been aged 45 at his death in February 2003. Search for birth record of John Gregg in Ireland Civil Registration Indexes on familysearch.org
