Question regarding "world renowned"[edit]

I know that phrase does sound "peacock-y", but that is how his work was described in the sources I read. Is that type of language always frowned upon now? Kevin^{Hallward's Ghost} ^{(Let's talk)} 04:24, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The way we show that a body of work is "world renowned" is by citing glowing reviews of the work written by leading critics from all around the world. Not by reading an obituary written by a non-bluelinked person who was personally acquainted by the artist. -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:51, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
