Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as lacking sufficient context to identify its subject, because WP:CSD#A1 says:

Articles lacking sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. Example: 'He is a funny man with a red car. He makes people laugh.'

Contrast this with the current content of the article which, I believe, is sufficient to identify its subject:

John Kerr is a footballer who played for Tranmere Rovers, Bristol City, Stockport County and Bury.^[1]

Are you suggesting that there is another association footballer named John Kerr who played for Tranmere Rovers, Bristol City, Stockport County and Bury and is described by the reference? WP:CSD#A1 goes on to say:

Caution is needed when using this tag on newly created articles.
