Movie is being released, article should be updated... AnonMoos 01:51, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

Why do we have a photo of Nicolas Cage rather than John McLoughlin? Thats like putting a photo of Anthony Hopkins up for Richard M. Nixon. 66.149.37.250 12:43, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hehe, I can't believe someone did that. 86.16.223.203 15:40, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, and I can't believe it took a year and a half for someone to remove it. Christ! -- VegitaU (talk) 01:26, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't transfer "facts" from the movie[edit]

It's important for editors not to rely on details from the movie, which was fictionalized. For example, the article said that the rescuers heard Jimeno banging on a pipe. That is in the movie but is inconsistent with Karnes' account -- he said he heard voices -- so I removed and added the quote from Karnes. If it can be independently sourced, it should go back in.

Also I removed a fluffy, promotional statement from the studio quoting McLoughlin as praising Stone.--Mantanmoreland 20:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some anon editor keeps adding "movie is accurate." The World Trade Center movie is a fine film -- I totally loved it -- but in detailing the rescue of McLoughlin and Jimeno it is not accurate in crucial respects. There is no dispute as to that -- the actual participants in the rescue say as much. Read the link to see what I mean. Adding that statement is not only vandalism, it is also foolish.--Mantanmoreland 13:19, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Additional info from DVD commentary[edit]

In the DVD commentary for the movie, Jimeno says something like "Nicolas Cage is wearing the real shield that McLoughlin wore, and John was buried with that shield". Anybody have any more information? I rented the movie and was unable to watch the entire commentary. A quick check of google doesn't show anything else. IvyMike 04:01, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge to World Trade Center (movie)?[edit]

This guy seems to be just a survivor who had a movie made after him, but there doesn't really seem to be anything in here about the guy, just about him being pulled from the rubble, probably due to lack of actual independent notability. It seems to me this guy should have his page incorporated into the article about the movie, as that is all that really matters anyway. Titanium Dragon 11:44, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 07:07, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation label[edit]

This article lists "World Trade Center attack survivor" but Brian Clark (September 11 attacks survivor) uses a different label. It seems to me that the latter would be better, because "WTC attack survivor" could also refer to the 1993 attack. Regardless of which is chosen, I think they should be in accord. -Etoile (talk) 04:40, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
