Comments:

  • John Francis Paciorek (born February 11, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan) place of birth should not be mentioned in introductory parenthesis per MOS:BIRTHPLACE
  • No need to link American
  • Lead overall reads poorly, sentences are short and stilted, and overlap
  • By the time he graduated, he went from 119 to 200 pounds conversion needed
  • In late 1962, Paciorek attended an instructional league put on by Houston, and followed that up by being part of the team's spring training roster, where he "hit everything in sight", and finished exhibition play with a batting average of over .300. poorly constructed sentence
  • After spring training ended, he began his professional career with the Modesto Colts of the California League. He played in 78 games for the team, and had a .219 batting average and 15 doubles can you combine these sentences?
  • That day, Paciorek, who was the starting right fielder, began the day second "the day" unnecessary
  • He had a perfect career batting average and on-base percentage of 1.000 as a result of his performance that day clarify major-league career here
  • However, his injuries continued to persist and he had played terribly poor English
  • Thanks in part to his performance in 1963's final game 1963's final game, or the Colt's final 1963 game?
  • recognized him and signed him not sure "recognized him" is needed here
  • He spent 1968 with the Single-A Reno Silver Sox were they Single-A at the time? Can you list the actual class name but pipe to Single-A? Same for Double-A?
  • Any notable finishes for the minor-league teams for which he played?
  • The last paragraph of the "Baseball career" section lacks transitions, which causes it to read stiltedly. The "Post-baseball career" section reads similarly.
  • an ad in the Christian Science Monitor for a teaching position italicize newspaper title
  • Duplication detector report checks: Checked Sports Illustrated article, one minor concern: about an ad in the Christian Science Monitor for a the same in the source. Can you rework, possibly to "about a ''Christian Science Monitor advertisement for a..." ?. Checked Los Angleles Times reference, looks good.
  • Sources for possible expansion: [1], [2], [3] (the last of which I'll require for inclusion to meet GA criteria), [4] one of 63 invited to 1963 spring training, interview (possibly as an external video link, or for a quotebox). I'd also obtain Perfect: The Rise and Fall of John Paciorek, Baseball's Greatest One-Game Wonder, if you intend to take this to FAC. Seattle (talk) 22:34, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review; I'll make the fixes over the next week or so. Wizardman 22:38, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Made some progress so far, but will take another few days to get it up to snuff; barely been on the site and don't foresee my activity increasing anytime soon, though I'll try to pop on enough to at least get this done. Wizardman 14:51, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No rush; there is no deadline. Seattle (talk) 15:30, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
About 80% done with the fixes, I'll do the other 20% today. There may be no deadline but I've procrastinated enough on it. Wizardman 15:08, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I believe everything's finally wrapped up now. Wizardman 14:38, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Passing. Seattle (talk) 19:40, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
