Elect the Dead Symphony[edit]

I added "Elect the Dead Symphony" album into his notable works section. It is the album, in which he organized the arrangements for "System of a Down" frontman Serj Tankian's live solo album. I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to put this, but I thought I should, just in case. If you see something wrong, please correct it. Parad0x130 (talk) 00:06, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update Oct 2020[edit]

I'd like to copy-edit this article and add refs over the next month or so. I've bumped up the importance too, he's certainly one of NZ's most well recognised living composers (which reminds me, Ross Harris and Ken Young have written five symphonies each, but that's another story...) so here's some quick starters:

  • "John Psathas: Arts Foundation Laureate". The Arts Foundation / Te Tumu Toi. Retrieved 26 October 2020.
  • "New Zealand Artist Directory: John Psathas". New Zealand Music Commission / Te Reo Reka o Aotearoa. Retrieved 26 October 2020.
  • "John Psathas". Promethean Editions. Retrieved 26 October 2020.
  • "The Wellingtonian interview: John Psathas". The Wellingtonian. 15 April 2010. Retrieved 26 October 2020 – via Stuff.

Jonathanischoice, you need to start using inline referencing. And please sign your talk page contributions with four tildes. I've set the WP importance to "low" as the article gets an average of six views per day. Schwede66 03:04, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I always use inline refs. Sorry if it wasn't clear, these are simply some refs I've left here on the talk page as a sort of "note to self" in handy prebaked form that I can paste when I'm copy editing later. Sorry I forgot the sig, I usually remember. Jon (talk) 04:22, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quick update: my daughter ended up in hospital for 2 weeks, so I ended up having no time to work on this article properly, only some preliminary tidy-up. I'd like to rework the tone (remove promotional stuff, NPOV, etc), add more reliable references, fix up the discog/works, update more recent events (e.g. his World War One centenary projects, composer in residence with Orchestra Wellington), and somehow obtain a freely licensed photo. — Jon (talk) 22:11, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've done some preliminary copy-editing and added a fair amount of references; ORES says C, which I think is fair, so I've updated the rating. Jon (talk) 23:30, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
