Yawl versus ketch[edit]

The Yawl article tells of an older sense in which a yawl has a small mizzen set back to allow rowing, and a main about as big as a sloop would have. Well it seems to me a Jolly Boat's main is quite small. Here are some pictures to be found on the web: The picture in this advert [1] shows the mizzen is about in line with the foremeos part of the rudder, making it debatable. See also pictures here [2] and scanned brochure. AJS Marine called it a yawl: were they using the older sense? Billlion 08:48, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for article[edit]

Many years ago I had a Jolly boat and I thought in the file that came with it was an article from Practical Boat Owner (or possible an other magazine) about the boat. I can't find an index to the magazine to track down the reference.Billlion (talk) 22:21, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
