Contested deletion - JonTron

This page should not be speedily deleted because... Jon has nearly 2.5 million subscribers, he was a founding member of Game Grumps which is approaching 3.5 million subscribers and he's done charity work by himself and with others. By the way, how is it that people who only had five minutes of fame on the internet get full pages but not someone like Jon who spends a lot of time and money to meticulously create a unique experience in every one of his videos? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:3CD0:CF00:95F4:FA19:2C0:73E3 (talk) 17:48, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

This page should not be speedily deleted because Jonathon Jafari has a youtube channel with over 2.4 million subscribers and if that is not enough to make him noteworthy, he is the co-founder of a youtube channel with over 3 million subscribers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.99.208.30 (talk) 17:49, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

He's a fairly major YouTuber and Pewdiepie, markiplier etc are allowed articles so he should too

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because Jon Jafari is an extremely prominent internet personality. He has surpassed 2 million subscribers, nd his fan-base is constantly expanding. Many YouTubers that have a smaller following than Jafari have pages of their own, such as Ross O'Donovan, and h3h3 Productions. His influence is growing in the YouTube gaming world due to both his time on Game Grumps as well as his constant activity on his JonTronShow channel. He has donated to various charities including Teach For America, and done voice work for various YouTube channels and video games.Zagexma (talk) 18:31, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Contested Deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because JonTron is a famous YouTuber than plenty of people know about. Other YouTubers get pages here that are as known as JamJon, so why not JonathanTronathan? It should go without saying that he is also very swood. This page should not be speedily deleted because... Jonathan is a real actual person who has done real actual things for various communities. Much lesser things, people, and places have Wiki pages. This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... Jonathan Jafari has plenty of significance. He was the co-creater and co-hoster of internet let's play show "Game Grumps", and co-created the video game review website "NormalBoots".

He has done voice acting work in multiple video games ("A Penguin In Time" and "Yooka-Laylee"), been in several collaborations with other internet personalities (including film-maker James Rolfe and movie critic Doug Walker), runs a comedy review channel with almost 2.5 million subscribers, creates parody music and runs charity live-streams. He has made a web-series sponsored by Disney ("Starcade") and regularly makes celebrity appearances at conventions like ConBravo, MAGFest and ScrewAttack Gaming Convention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.118.72.2 (talk) 18:54, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... JonTron is relevant enough for a Wikipedia page. --92.29.141.95 (talk) 19:03, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because since JonTron's YouTube channel has garnered over 2,450,000 subscribers. This person is notable enough to have his own Wikipedia article. His friend, Arin Hanson, while having about 2,220,000 subscribers, still has his own article. His recent Blizzard rant has gathered the likes of media outlets like the BBC. Thus so, I would keenly request to keep this YouTuber's article.--Pateca (talk) 19:08, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because this man is very well known in the gaming, entertainment, and YouTube sector. This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance. I'll break this up into two sections.

On non-notability, I fail to see how it's not notable. Being covered in a cultural magazine (Time) in addition to officially teaming up with Disney (Maker is a part of Disney) to produce a webshow about Star Wars is a pretty big deal. You'd have to have the contacts to do so or atleast some amount of verifiable reputation in order to even get a response back from Disney regarding their properties (unless it was a C&D), let alone get them to fund it and permission to use their properties completely legally without having to justify fair use and deal with the notorious YouTube copyright content system (this is not a place to debate legal matters, I'm just stating that it's fairly impressive in a nutshell). I mean anyone could say that they had the rights to do so, but this one is credited with actual references. I fail to see how that's not notable.

As for significance of having an article, I'd argue that he's also a writer, producer, editor and actor for not only his own channel (JonTronShow) but has filled other roles for other channels (Game Grumps, everything with StarCade, Do You Know Gaming, h3h3 [or so I heard, I haven't watched it really]), I'd say that's pretty significant because it's outside his own show. Not only that but many of those channels have several million subscribers atleast, he's started content teams (NormalBoots) that have done fairly well, and he produced content with Warner Brothers. Considering these feats were fairly separated from his main youtube channel, I'd argue that that's pretty significant for a person to be a frontrunner of several aspects outside of their own personal youtube channel. He's a content creator and a comedian and is known for doing such.

Jonathan Jafari is at this point, clearly relevant enough to warrant his own wiki page. Many internet personalities have one, like Arin Hanson, whom Jon used to work with on Game Grumps.
