Improvements[edit]

Justlettersandnumbers, I'm fairly new to editing so please forgive my trail-and-error approach. Based on what I have learned on Wikipedia:Notability (people) for creative professionals I feel the article cites numerous reliable sources that are independent of the subject, in addition to citing the significant role he played in his body of work. And the membership held with AMPAS, AFI, and PGA certainly denotes he is an important figure in his professional field. Please let me know how I might improve this article. --Xxxx7291 (talk) 06:35, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Xxxx7291[reply]

Weak references[edit]

Too many of the references are "in-name-only', meaning there is no content about Jashni, only a mention of his name. Editors should focus on finding citations that are independent of Jashni (not interviews nor press-release based) and contain significant content about Jashni. Quality matters. Brief-mention refs can be used to support specific factual statements, but quantity does not replace quality. David notMD (talk) 14:48, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest editing[edit]

At least one major contributor to this article appears to have a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus to have a conflict of interest. Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting {{request edit}} (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request. Requests that are unduly long, or are not supported by independent reliable sources, are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:09, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Not done In principal this should be an easy addition to make. However, only one of these claims has a source. If you can just add sources for the rest I'd be happy to implement the change. Chetsford (talk) 00:07, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'd be happy to leave a source for each title and his role on the project. In that case, I'd also be happy to add the additional projects he's worked on that are not already mentioned on Wikipedia and linked above. But its roughly 40+ titles, in which case that would be 40+ individual sources. Is this what is required?Xxxx7291 (talk) 02:39, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. The easiest way to do that is to create a references column. See, for example, Alfred Hitchcock filmography. Chetsford (talk) 02:59, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Please let me know if this is sufficient:
Done okay done Chetsford (talk) 04:17, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. May I also please request that the subject's name be corrected in the second sentence of the first paragraph in the Career section from "Jason" to "Jashni"? Xxxx7291 (talk) 06:20, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

According to MOS:BIO, In general, present a biography in chronological order, from birth to death, except where there is good reason to do otherwise. Within a single section, events should almost always be in chronological order. I see no "good reason" not to follow this guide. Primefac (talk) 19:16, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
