Birth year[edit]

The birth year was removed by someone claiming to be Jonathan Kreisberg. There's no way for me to know whether it's him. Regardless, simply because an article is about you doesn't mean you have the right to determine what's in it. That may seem odd at first, but if you think about it and read the rules, it makes sense. For better or worse, Wikipedia's information comes from published sources. We don't make it up. We collect. The birth year exists in many published sources already, so removing it here isn't going to accomplish much. It's fairly easy these days to find out when a person was born. There is little to no privacy in today's world, so for the person to speak of "keeping it private" is an act of wishful thinking.

@Vmavanti: The subject of this article was hiring freelancers to remove his date of birth as per off-wiki evidence so this could be one of them pretending to be Jonathan Kreisberg. GSS💬 15:50, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
OK. That's a dumb thing to do. He should have dealt with us honestly. Birth years are fairly easy to find.

For the record I made some comments about this at WP:BLPN and removed the birth year Tristario (talk) 05:48, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
