Naming

The road is named after Dr. Gregory Paul Jordan (1858-1921) for his contribution to contain a contagious epidermic in early 20th Century Hong Kong. He was the nephew (maternal) of Sir Catchick Paul Chater. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~chaterfamilytree/jordan.htm http://hongkongsfirst.blogspot.com/2010/05/notable-doctors-from-first-100-years.html http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=iJnW0ZtogdwC&pg=PA32&dq=Dr.+Gregory+Paul+Jordan+HK&hl=en&sa=X&ei=SD1XT-iwK4e5iAeC-fGbDQ&ved=0CDgQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=Dr.%20Gregory%20Paul%20Jordan%20HK&f=false http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=F-FAAQAAIAAJ&q=Dr.+Gregory+Paul+Jordan+Hong+Kong&dq=Dr.+Gregory+Paul+Jordan+Hong+Kong&hl=en&sa=X&ei=UT5XT4qpAeeViAeM1-WmDQ&ved=0CEUQ6AEwBA
