Intent to correct confusion over the Navarro family[edit]

~~The content of this article actually refers to Ángel Navarro, not José Ángel Navarro (the elder) who was Ángel's son . It was~~ moved from its original, and correctly named Ángel Navarro on December 16, 2014 with the edit summary "moved page Ángel Navarro to José Ángel Navarro (elder): name used elsewhere". Confusion over the names has been understandable.

José Ángel Navarro (the elder) (1784–1836) - son of María Josefa (Ruiz) and Ángel Navarro, soldier, two-term alcalde (mayor) of San Antonio under Mexican Texas. Died June 13, 1836 at his home.
