Contact hitter?[edit]

Sorry, I'm Bulgarian, so I probably don't know enough about baseball, but why is he described as a "contact hitter", when his career batting average is .271? Isn't a contact hitter supposed to have a much higher batting average? --Christomir (talk) 11:49, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
