Copyright violation[edit]

The text of this article is virtually verbatim from http://www.paboychoir.org/whoswho.asp with only a few changes. I removed some of the peacock terms, and added the source. But if this isn't substabtially re-written in the next 24 hours, I'm going to reduce it to a stub to eliminate the copyright violation. See WP:Close paraphrasing. Copyright problem removed (for a second time)[edit]

Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: http://www.paboychoir.org/media/bios.html. Infringing material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Voceditenore (talk) 08:54, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Even if it hadn't been a copyvio, it was completely unencyclopedic and promotional in tone, and had no references to support any of the assertions. Also, by pasting that text in wholesale, all the formatting and references from previous editors (representing a lot of work) was removed. If you wish to make additions. Do them gradually, in your own words maintaining a neutral point of view, referencing them to reliable sources which are completely independent of the subject, and respecting the existing formatting. Note to future editors, if you have any connection whatsoever with Joseph Fitzmartin (either personal or professional) please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Autobiography for guidance when editing under these circumstances and follow the guidelines there scrupulously.
