Have you read this source? It doesn't seem so. The headline says Padres to acquire Hader from Crew in 5-player trade (source) Emphasis mine. "Source" means unconfirmed. I understand that the article then leads with The Padres got the closer they were looking for -- and they pulled off a doozy of a deal to make it happen., but then it says San Diego is acquiring left-hander Josh Hader from Milwaukee in a wild trade that sees the Major Leagues’ top two saves leaders switching teams midseason, a source told MLB.com on Monday. "Is acquiring" means it hasn't happened yet. "A source told MLB.com on Monday" means the teams haven't confirmed it. We are an encyclopedia. not a newspaper. Passan, Sherman, Heyman, Rosenthal... they all work for newspapers or similar publications. They break news. Sometimes they get it wrong in the process of getting the scoop. Since we are an encyclopedia, we wait until things are confirmed to have taken place before updating. Josh Hader just signed with Houston! (2017 was forever ago forget about it! Also, other teams cheated using very similar methods at the same time!)
