The fact he's been banned is repeated in the lead. I would advocate merging it down to two paras.
Infobox caption is a fragment, no full stop required.
Also, the infobox vs caption - presumably that's an image of him playing in some kind of friendly or for the youth team considering the caption is dating it to 2013 yet the infobox dates his senior career with Cardiff from 2014 onwards.
"time in loan with" on loan.
"doping related ban" I would expect to see "doping-related" hyphenated.
"in Bridgend, Wales and " comma after Wales per MOS.
Could add Category:Footballers from Bridgend?
Is there a suitable link for "loan"? I'm not sure how easy that is for non-footballing readers to grasp.
Link "Southern League".
" and they were removed from the league and their " and and... I would replace the second one with a "with" (and remove the "were").
EFL Cup or League Cup? I know they're the same but be consistent.
Probably a good idea just to note he joined Ipswich in 2015.

Also wonder if we could link "substitute", I think Americans use the term "replacement" so our terminology may not be quite so easy for them.

In UKEng, I think "counselling" has two L's.

@The Rambling Man: Thanks very much for the review. I've implemented all of the changes you listed above apart from the Wales U16 note. Happy to do it if you feel it's necessary, but the years and stats would be impossible to find so it would just be the team name in the infobox. Let me know what you think.
