Since the guy was a "Lucasian Professor of Mathematics" at the University of Cambridge he most certainly is linked to Mathematics. The fact that he did nothing of note does not remove the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.22.169.133 (talk) 09:06, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

punchline missing?[edit]

Reading the article several times, I somehow missed to get the punchline. So was he a fraud? Or were all others at that time in Cambridge idiots? How did he qualify for the chair?
